I got the call this week. I have been hired to serve with the Hamilton Police Services. It was one year ago this month I made the decision at 47 yrs. old to pursue a career in Policing. I realized quickly that in order to pass the very first stages of the PATI and WCT I would need help! My first practice PATI exam was an abismal 49%. My first practice WCT test went horribly! It was in early 2008 that I signed up with TRP and also met Chris Bedwell at a TRP training session. I studied TRP's incredible study material and, IMO, there is nothing like it out there! I studied for hours and hours for two consecutive months and took practice test after practice test. I was also mentored by John Belisle and had some great help from Timothy Gordon. I passed my PATI on March 8! However, due to my own error, I did not pass the WCT. I knew right when I was walking out the door of the WCT class room that I had inadvertently mixed up the colour of two cars in my conclusion. So my failure was my own and I had only me to blame. However, things happen for a reason and I studied further, and on June 8, 2008, I passed my WCT. I could not have done this without Test Ready Pro! NEVER!
I applied to Hamilton at the end of July and started the interview process. John Belisle's mentoring for my DCI interview, ECI interview, and Psych Interview was phenominal! I would never have done so well without his help! I made it through all the interviews and then the background check began. It took 6 weeks to the day and I got a phone call on Monday afternoon Dec. 15, 2008 that I was successful and I was going to receive my Home Visit with a Conditional offer of Employment! I am hired with Hamilton and heading to OPC for the January intake!
My sincere thanks and appreciation to Test Ready Pro, Chris Bedwell, John Belisle, and Timothy Gordon!
Sincerely,
Wendell Leytham
P.S. I will be Hamilton Police Services oldest rookie they have ever hired. Records are made to be broken!
