Hey there pc1000
Well the good thing I can hear from all of this is that you have identified your weaknesses and sounds like you are on your way towards trying to improve on them.
Test ready pro is an amazing program so keep taking those PATI tests and in no time you will see your test scores climb.
You should defiantly not give up policing as a career a lot of police forces are looking for minorities. I happened to be looking on the Brantford Police Service’s website a couple of weeks ago and it had mentioned that they strongly encouraging women and members of minority groups to apply. (Reference)

Many Police Services are looking for individuals of minority at this point.
Now volunteering is very important to becoming a Police Constable. Police Services are essentially looking for a commitment to the community. You have to have an understanding of what’s happening around you. You need to understand the need in your community. Get to know where the nearest shelters are in your community. Get to know where the nearest food banks are. After all you will be working in partnership with your community!! Get started volunteering at the closest shelter to you. Shelters are always in need for volunteers. Not only is it helping your community hours but you are helping people in NEED.
The Toronto Public Library hosts E.S.L. classes. This would be an excellent opportunity for you. Here is the web site.

Google can be a great friend when trying to find information on courses or programs. For example this website came up when I typed in English courses Toronto area:

Jogging is a good way to get your heart rate up but like you said yourself you need to intensify your workout. I can’t personally tell you what to do fitness wise because I am not qualified to give you that information. My best suggestion to you is ask a personal trainer or find a one on one mentor. Once you do that you will have no problem with your fitness.
Also keep in mind many Police Stations offer recruitment nights. Check out their websites for the next available times to go. This is a free session. After the session is over they give you time to speak to a recruiting officer one on one. These information sessions will tell you everything you need to know. Many services also have free fitness nights you can go to where they will show you what needs to be done to reach the fitness standards.
Take advantage of this!!!!!
Any who…. I don’t want to be too long winded, but keep pushing ahead.
Remember you can do anything you put your mind to.
PM me sometime and let me know about your process
Your friend Mandi
